During the recent Covid-19 crisis, the Netherlands Embassy and Consulate General aim to reinforce partnerships between the Netherlands and Italy’s professionals as well as cultural institutions, and have therefore started an extraordinary call labeled “Relaunch.”
The projects that meet the criteria for admission to the funds can be presentations (digital), partnerships, development of post-COVID-19 projects, exchange of knowledge, development of new jobs through digital applications.

What the Embassy is looking for:
- The proposal for the project arises from the current crisis, in a form, or with an emergency-adapted theme.
- Presentations (digital), collaborations, development of post-COVID-19 ventures, sharing of expertise, production of new employment by software technologies maybe initiatives that meet the requirements for entry to the funds.
- The results include online or offline announcements, audiovisual content, follow-up events, new ideas and scenarios, networking or networking creation.
- Help for (existing) projects involving a new network and a new approach.
- A minimum of one Italian and one Dutch partner must develop the project proposal, each with a clear role within the project.
- The project must fit into one of our nine focus areas: Architecture, Design, Multimedia, youth culture, Literature, Multilingualism, Human Rights, Senior Citizens, Flanders-Netherlands Cooperation.
- Proposal for the project must be submitted at least three weeks before project commencement.
- The project will conclude by the end of this year. You can then follow our normal grant application procedure for other projects.

What Embassy has to offer?
- There are 25,000 Euros for this open call.
- You may request for a total of EUR 1000 and a maximum of EUR 5000.
- All costs are deemed exempt.
- Both the Netherlands and Italian partners contribute to the project through a budget contribution, hours, or facilities dedicated to it.
- The money is transferred to the Italian project partner (organization or legal person), who is in charge of paying the partners and third parties.
- Grants are only granted when sufficient Embassy and Consulate General resources are available. They will only accept part of the questions. The amount awarded may be less than the sum requested when admitted.
