How To The Subtle Art of Liberating Yourself From People

The Subtle Art of Liberating Yourself From People

The key cause why you currently worry so much about what people might think of you falls down to one thing:

You’re pinging off people to try to find “evidence” that either you’re the person you wish you were, or you’re not the person you’re afraid you are. In other terms, you are seeking approval.

If you’re trying to stop worrying about what some people assume about you; you’re going to have to be comfortable with the idea that some of them won’t appreciate who you are … and make peace with that. Your entire persona is built on “being seen” in a certain way. So you better understand this: “Other people’s opinion of you is none of your business.”

Careless people don’t inherently aspire to be unique, so they don’t care how they are perceived in other people’s minds. So should you… Here’s how:

Practice Saying What You TRULY Think

If you refrain from saying anything because you’re afraid to say the “wrong” thing or for someone to dislike you; you’ll soon find yourself deliberately choosing your terms. This would raise your fear every time you face the same situation.

You subconsciously believe you’ve been shielded from criticism by remaining quit. If you’ve always stopped revealing things that you actually felt out of fear of getting ridiculed or displeased; perhaps you’ve never prepared yourself to cope with a negative response.

And you will continue to dread such poor reactions as a result of constantly attempting to avoid them at all costs. Speak up your mind, instead.

Don’t Worry About Getting Rejected

You ought to get desensitized in order to be refused. Contrarily to common belief, being rejected doesn’t only make you feel unsure, but rejections actually have a great positive benefit as well. They have the potential to make you worry less about what people might think of you.

And not worrying about getting rejected opens up a whole lot of awesome opportunities that were hidden in plain sight then. Stuff that seemed doubtful before surprisingly entered the realm of what’s conceivable.

Desensitize Yourself To Getting Embarrassed

For socially anxious people, embarrassment is the plague that overshadows and makes every situation seem unbearable.

More precisely, the fear of being humiliated in front of people is the greatest barrier between you and what you truly desire: to avoid worrying about how others conceive you. It’s the fear of being embarrassed and ashamed that stops you from doing stuff that makes you no longer care anymore.

Therefore, finding ways to desensitize yourself to feeling embarrassed will greatly help you in your life and in your carelessness.

Display Your Insecurities Instead Of Hiding Them

A big part of not worrying about how people perceive you has to do with how confident you are with yourself. When you’re with other people, do you ever feel like you have to hide parts of yourself?

If you’d like to get rid of your insecurities, the only way to conquer them is to show them up and purposely reveal them to others.

Doing so would eliminate any anxiety you have about it. People who don’t give a shit openly speak about their insecurities, and in the end, they become even less uncertain about other facets of themselves.

Honesty is the shortest path to liberty.
