Changing the patterns you have, from ideas and perceptions to customs and beliefs is quite threatening, but it’s utterly possible to do. Undergoing these changes helps redirect your focus on making your life better and designing it to achieve fulfillment, passion, and joy.
Your subconscious mind is a magnificent part of your brain. It operates non-stop 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year, working actively behind the scenes, to process or dismiss knowledge based on your view of the world around you since you were an infant.
Growing old, we might think that we are able to simply discard hurtful or untrue messages we absorbed during our early stages of life, but it is not actually that simple. It takes a few subconscious mind techniques to set things right, and applying such techniques takes time, practice, and persistence.
Here are some of the steps you can follow:
- Decide what you truly want: Define your goals and dreams. In order to make sure your mind is set for success, you have to review them every day as a present fact, not a future plan.
- Visualize them: By picturing in your mind the perfect free throw over and over, as your mind works through repetition.
- Find out what stops you: figure out what you hold a conflicting belief about. It could be scary and intimidating to look inside. To identify your resistance, question yourself. It can be disturbing to look at all the different exposed pieces of yourself that you have forgotten.
- Adopt strong beliefs: Try to address the negative events you’ve experienced or the imperfect vision of your future, and challenge their accuracy, you can replace them with empowering beliefs to live by.
- Watch your environment and focus on gratitude: Surround yourself with positive reinforcement to bring you positivity and hopefulness. Stay away from bad people and limit negative influences in your environment. It is important to choose gratitude and appreciation instead of criticism and fear and shine a light on the positive.
