If you are a fan of self-help books, you must have crossed paths with what is called “the law of attraction.” Did you not quite grasp the concept? Don’t panic, we’ll explain it to you.
What is the law of attraction?
The law of attraction is quite simply the ability to attract into our lives, which is what we focus on. In other words, if you have a negative and pessimistic view, you will only attract the negative and pessimism. Conversely, if your thoughts are positive, you will only attract the positive into your life.
In conclusion: your success and your happiness depend only on you. In any case, this is what the “law of attraction” is based on. As a reminder, this is not based on any scientific foundation and is a matter of pseudoscience. Okay for the theory then, but what about the practice?
How to use the law of attraction on a daily basis?
We concede it to you, it is not that simple. But there are several little tips to help you get there.
Thinking inside out!
The idea here, we explained to you, is to hunt down dark ideas. So, to think inside out. When you don’t like something or something bothers you, rather than pointing out its negative side, focus on what you would like instead.
“I hate that he’s late” becomes like “I’d rather he was on time.” Another example: “I don’t like to be in a hurry”, becomes “I would prefer to have more time”. Everything is in the nuance.
Avoid projecting too far into the future!
In other words, enjoy the present moment. Better to be happy and positive hour after hour, without being afraid of the future, without apprehension and without worrying, than to prevent yourself from enjoying the present moment by already thinking about the next day, even the day after.
Trust and know each other!
On the doorstep of the temple of Delphi, attributed to Socrates, the following commandment could be read: “Know thyself and thou shalt know the universe and the gods”. And indeed, the Law of Attraction recommends that you stay consistent with who you are. This is how you can showcase yourself in the best possible way, enjoy your natural talents and be on what you deeply desire.
Don’t be afraid of failure!
Rome was not built in a day. We all know that in order to achieve our goals, we often have to fail. A fear for some, who see it as a shame. Yet failure is an integral part of our construction.
Failure refers to a narcissistic wound. It hurts, because it can cause loss of self-confidence, all the more so since it is not valued socially, failure is part of the construction of psychic life, it is a necessary passage. After any failure, we learn a lesson which is useful for our personal development.
