Everyone has always dreamed of finding happiness. The subject of happiness remains topical because in truth, nobody wants to be unhappy.
Either way, everyone is looking for what could bring them this continual feeling of pleasure, well-being, joy and wholeness. Happiness is unique and specific to everyone. The only problem is that it seems necessary to constantly have to look for it.
Indeed, when you look around, it is much easier to see people who aspire to happiness than to find people who consider themselves completely happy and satisfied with their lives.
Happiness therefore seems accessible only in the long term according to what everyone considers to be the key giving access to it. However, there is an essential question: why wait to be happy?
Review your concept of happiness.
If happiness seems distant, it is very often because people wait to achieve their goals before considering themselves happy. For many, happiness is understood as a state that can only be achieved through a series of achievements and conditions.
It is a shame to think so. Moreover, more often than not, we will consider that there is always one more step to reach and one more project to carry out: finding the right job, starting a family, owning a car, owning something … happiness is constantly deferred because something is always missing to be totally satisfied.
What we forget, however, is that we can be happy even without having accomplished everything we want in life.
You have to know how to stop wanting more and more. This does not mean that you should not have desires and aspirations, but rather that you should stop delaying your happiness by conditioning it to the mere fulfillment of your desires.
Happiness is in the present moment; it is there, before your eyes. It is important that you realize it because without it, you can never taste it. In other words, happiness is decided! What you need to be happy, you already have it! Happiness is closer than you think. To start, you need to learn to appreciate what you have.
It’s easier to feel happy every day by being grateful for what you already have. Remember that what you have others do not necessarily have and aspire to greatly. Besides, some things come effortlessly and it is easy to take them for granted. It is important to pay attention to this, you have to learn to be grateful both for things and for the events and people around you.
Love every laugh, every hug and every smile. Savor and keep every good moment and try to bring joy to others and to yourself. All this is not obvious and to become aware of it is to take a step towards happiness.
What matters here is your mind.
Easy or difficult, no matter what life you lead, the truth is that there is always a way to be happy. It is up to you to do so based on the parameters of your life and the cards you have in hand.
Happiness is a state of mind that you must maintain at all times. You should create it rather than wait for it. With this in mind, don’t underestimate the power of thoughts and words. As Buddha said, “What you think, you become. What you feel, you attract. What you imagine, you create”.
Decide to act, do your best and minimize any effort, no impact and no progress. This is how you will fuel your motivation and how you will recover your happiness. However, the desired changes will gradually take hold in your life.
Take the time to be happy!
At the same time, you have to know how to take the time to be happy. Society has so many demands that it is not easy to reconcile everything. Personal projects, family life, professional life, we have to deal with all of this as best we can. Life then becomes a frantic race with multiple objectives.
However, whatever the objective, the motivation and the determination, the winning strategy is that which is achieved by sparing here and there, little moments to yourself.
You don’t need to do exceptional things: go to the movies, play with your children, relax in a good bath, read a little, get enough sleep. In this regard, it is established that doing meditation helps to increase the level of happiness, 15 minutes a day is enough to fill up on relaxation.
Either way, do things you love and try to do it every day, happiness must become a habit.
Any more advice? To be happy is also to be true to yourself and live according to your beliefs and convictions. Love what you do and always be in tune with yourself.
Happiness is here and it is now. Your life doesn’t have to be perfect to be happy. You just have to decide. Have good thoughts and don’t block your own light. Happiness is above all a state of mind
